If for any reason you are unable to join a group to take part in the Award you can enrol as an Independent Participant - As an independent participant you would enrol directly with the County Award Office and we would keep in contact via phone, e-mail or post to give you advice and guidance when you need it.

We would help you to find activities near to your home which would qualify for the various sections of the Award.  You could complete the Service, Skills and Physical sections of your Award in this way.  For the Expedition section you would need to get together with other young people which would be possible through "open" expeditions arranged each year around Britain.

How to enrol
You need to fill in an application form and send it with the appropriate fee (The fee is shown on the application form - cheques made payable to CCC please) to:
